Using Color With Ledgestone

Using color in Redi-Rock blocks adds a whole new look to the final product. We have been experimenting with different colors in our concrete mix and on the face of our new Ledgestone blocks.

Below you can see some of our progress.

The new look for Redi-Rock is Ledgestone. Today we have pulled the first two blocks from their forms. I think they look great! We already have a new project wall to start in the spring for this new exciting face!

"Weep" Block

Designing a wall that efficiently drains water, is one of the keys to a good design. The above and below pictures show a custom block that was made for a tall "gravity wall". 6" PVC pipe runs straight through the block from the front to the back. The install crew will then attach their drainage system to the 8 inches extending from the back of the block.

This custom block will save the install crew many hours in labor, resulting in a seamless look and a lower cost of installation.

This company specializes in custom concrete applications. It was a big compliment when they chose our block for this project. This wall has been been here for a few years now, and it still looks great!

They also used our block in their loading area......

Backyard Patio

Using Redi-Rock pavers for a patio couldn't be easier. Just level the ground with sand/gravel, and set them in place. Kinda like an instant patio. I'm sure the homeowners will enjoy their time relaxing and entertaining on this new feature of the home.

Of course, some grass seed will follow.

Retaining Wall in Carbon County

The retaining wall you see in these pictures, is a replacement for an old deteriorating wall from the past. The installer, Nevin, did a fantastic job laying down the block.

This wall is a "Gravity Wall", meaning no reinforcement was necessary for the wall to hold back the pressure of the road behind it.

Saint Luke's Hospital Parking Lot

When St. Luke's Hospital needed to expand their parking lot, Redi-Rock was called upon. Here you can see a nice curve in the wall. All of the blocks used in the curve are standard retaining wall blocks. The Standard taper of the blocks allowed this radius to be created with ease.

After the wall was constructed, a fence was added for safety.

Parking Lot Expansion

The massive weight of these "Limestone" blocks, allow this parking lot to be expanded with no reinforcement necessary. (It looks pretty darn good too!)

Water Application

A sight to behold. The long curves in these walls are absolutely stunning! The homeowner did a fantastic job of using our "Cobblestone" freestanding garden blocks to step down a block. When the grass grows, I'm sure they will be enjoying the new look.

Gated Entry and Sign

Redi-Rock is a very versatile product. Here you can see our "cobblestone" finish being used as a gated entry. The combination of a freestanding column and a freestanding wall support the hardware needed to install the gate.

The addition of two more columns with a sign balance out the look.

Bethlehem Steel Fountain

I really like the application of Freestanding Redi-Rock blocks. As you can see, the blocks are supporting a massive piece of equipment from an era that has past. The look of these mega blocks with our Redi-Rock "Limestone" finish accentuate the equipment it supports.

Penns Peak

The purpose of these two Redi-Rock features is to enclose a water tank for a fire suppression system and give extra patio space for guests to enjoy.

The vast majority of this project was completed by only two installers. That's right, only two men worked to complete most of the finished project.

By keeping the work crew to a minimum, the cost of installation was minimal while still staying on target for the date of completion.
